Library Referendum Successful!

Salt Spring Library Referendum Passes
The Salt Spring library referendum has passed by a 78% margin. Total votes counted after the Dec. 5 referendum saw 1870 voters in favour of the bylaw to borrow $2.75 million to build a new library on McPhillips Avenue in Ganges, versus 519 against, for a 78% approval rate.

Users of this service will notice two new features:
1. Star rating system – Users can choose to rate books they have read using a five star rating system which will be available for other users.
2. Flexible loan system – You can now choose your own loan period for all items in Library-to-Go. Choose a one, two or three week loan. Adobe and mobipocket eBooks can still be returned early.
